Vector Optics

The Vector Optics X-ACCU One-Piece RIS Mount is a one-piece mount machined from 6061-T6 aluminium for riflescopes with a 34 mm tube, designed for shooters mounting hunting or precision riflescopes on Picatinny-railed platforms. The centreline height above the rail is 40 mm, providing enough clearance to clear the front optics of AR platforms and high-receiver bolt-action rifles while maintaining a natural sight line in the prone or benchrest position.

The body is CNC-machined from a single billet of aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminium and finished with a matte hard-anodised coating that protects the surface from abrasion and reduces glare without adding unnecessary weight: total weight is 254 g. The overall length of the mount is 156 mm, distributing the load over a wide section of the rail and helping to maintain point of impact under repeated recoil. Attachment to the rail is by means of 3 cross bolts, while each of the two rings is secured by 6 screws: the six-screw configuration spreads clamping pressure evenly around the tube, reducing the risk of tube deformation and reticle shift, particularly with hard-recoiling calibres. Objective clearance extends to 65 mm in diameter, compatible with virtually all riflescopes commonly used in long-range shooting and hunting.

Choosing a one-piece mount over two separate rings offers a practical advantage alongside a trade-off worth considering: the one-piece design guarantees geometric parallelism between the two rings without alignment work during fitting, eliminates the cumulative tolerances of two independent components, and reduces re-assembly time after cleaning. In return, the mount is less flexible in adjusting the spacing between rings and cannot accommodate scopes with large bells positioned asymmetrically. Shooters who change scopes frequently or use scopes with asymmetric objectives may find a two-ring solution more versatile; those seeking repeatability and rigidity with a fixed scope will find this mount a solid platform.
