Spotting scopes
Spotting scopes for reading shot placement on the range and observing targets at long distance.
When you need one
They offer far greater magnification than a binocular – enough to see bullet holes in a target at distances where the naked eye can no longer make them out.
The trade-off is stability: at those magnifications you need a tripod or a solid rest, and handheld use is not practical. For observation on the move, a binocular remains the right choice.
