Vector Optics Continental X6 2-12x44 CTR FFP Riflescope — Black

The Continental X6 2-12x44 CTR is a variable first focal plane (FFP) riflescope with a 34 mm tube, designed for medium-to-long-range precision shooting and hunting in demanding conditions. Magnification runs from 2x to 12x with a 44 mm objective lens: a bright window that delivers usable images even in low light without adding excessive bulk to the rifle build.

The first focal plane (FFP) means the CTR reticle scales proportionally with magnification: MIL subtensions remain accurate at any power setting, not just at maximum. Shooters who estimate distances or correct their point of impact using reticle holdovers can do so at 2x as well as 12x, with no mental conversion required. The trade-off to bear in mind is that at low magnification the reticle appears finer and harder to read in adverse light: the 11-level illumination powered by a CR2032 battery is there specifically to restore visibility in those situations, but it does not replace the readability of an FFP at medium or high power.

The 1/10 MIL adjustment clicks allow precise elevation and windage corrections, with a travel of ≥ 63 MIL in elevation and ≥ 30 MIL in windage: generous figures for shooters engaging challenging distances or needing margin to compensate for imperfectly levelled mounts. Parallax is adjustable from 10 m to infinity. The 6061-T6 aluminium alloy construction brings the weight to 767 g at an overall length of 317 mm; IP67 certification ensures watertightness, and the declared recoil resistance reaches up to 1000 G.

Key features

• The FFP reticle keeps MIL subtensions accurate at every magnification setting, eliminating conversion calculations during shooting.
• The ≥ 63 MIL elevation travel provides ample margin for challenging distances and to compensate for mount height differences.
• 1/10 MIL clicks allow fine, repeatable corrections without over-adjusting.
• The 11-level illumination restores reticle readability at low magnification or in backlit conditions, where the fine FFP wire would otherwise be a disadvantage.
• IP67 sealing and 1000 G recoil resistance make it suitable for field use with hard-recoiling cartridges.
• The 34 mm tube is compatible with most tactical rings in the same class and simplifies height alignment.
