Kryptek Vellus Glove — Kryptek Obskura Transitional

The Vellus Glove are technical winter gloves by Kryptek, made from 200 g windproof fleece with 100 g Primaloft Silver insulation. They are designed for static-position shooting, hunting, and use in prolonged cold conditions. The Kryptek Obskura Transitional camouflage makes them suitable for transitional environments where terrain colours change rapidly.

The windproof fleece blocks airflow without the rigidity of a waterproof membrane: the gloves breathe better than a laminated fabric and remain more comfortable during moderate activity, but they do not offer water protection in sustained rain. Those operating in heavy rain should treat them as a mid-layer under a waterproof over-glove rather than a standalone solution. Primaloft Silver retains a portion of its insulating performance even as internal moisture rises, extending the usable window compared to natural fibres.

The reinforced palm reduces wear in the highest-friction zones — weapon grip, rucksack strap, trekking with poles — without adding stiffness to the fingers. Full finger gussets increase range of motion and allow work on weapon or optic controls without the glove pulling at the knuckle.
