The sizing is universal and adjustment is continuous, so it fits a range of waist sizes without modification.

The inner and outer belts are connected by full-perimeter Velcro: this design distributes the load evenly around the entire circumference rather than concentrating it at a few attachment points. The result is that pouches stay firmly in place even during sudden movements, yet the belt opens and closes quickly whenever it needs to be removed. Perimeter Velcro offers less resistance to lateral pulling forces than a hook or pin system, so it is not the ideal choice if snagging on structures or lever forces on the belt are expected – in those scenarios a mechanical quick-release system would be more suitable. For most open-field applications, however, the simplicity of this connection is a genuine advantage.

The belt material is IRR-compatible, reducing the infrared signature and making it suitable for use with night vision devices or in environments where thermal detection is a concern. The closure buckle is rated as heavy-duty and withstands the load of accessories mounted on the MOLLE webbing without deforming. The rigid inner belt retains its shape even under load, preventing the downward sagging that occurs with soft belts.
