Miltec Assault Ultra Compact Backpack — Green

The Assault Ultra Compact is a foldable 15-litre backpack designed for anyone who needs a spare bag on hand without taking up space in their main kit. When empty, it compresses into the front pocket, which becomes its own stuff sack: the packed dimensions are just 20x6.5x15 cm, while deployed it measures 37x22x38 cm. At 320 g — comparable to an empty half-litre bottle — it stays out of the way until you actually need it.

The MOLLE webbing on the back of the front pocket lets you attach it directly to a plate carrier or belt; an additional D-ring allows it to be hung up or clipped with a carabiner. When the pack is open, the same pocket reveals a Velcro panel for patches and a dual bidirectional zip — the same system used on the main compartment: both openings can be managed with one hand, even with gloves on. This dual role of the front pocket — additional pocket and stuff sack for the pack — is the key trade-off of the design: anyone wanting quick access to the pocket's contents without opening the main compartment will benefit, but the pocket itself is unavailable for that purpose when the bag is folded inside it.

The straps are adjustable and the polyurethane-coated polyester body is moisture-resistant without adding weight. MOLLE loops on the front panel allow compatible pouches to be mounted, adapting the volume to the day's load.
