ARDON VISILUX 60401 Protective Glasses — Clear

The ARDON VISILUX 60401 are personal protective eyewear with a clear polycarbonate lens, designed for those who need eye protection without any alteration to colour perception. The universal fit allows them to be worn over standard prescription glasses, making them a practical solution for operators and shooters who cannot do without their vision correction. For airsoft use, suitability must be assessed based on the specific impact resistance markings stated on the product: compliance with EN 166 alone, without an indication of the mechanical resistance class, is not sufficient to qualify them as suitable for use with BBs.

The clear polycarbonate lens is the typical compromise of this type of protection: it delivers the most faithful vision possible under normal lighting conditions, without the colour filters that tinted or yellow lenses introduce. Polycarbonate, when damaged, does not produce sharp shards like ordinary glass — a relevant property for a protective device worn on the face. Tinted lenses — yellow for low light, smoke for direct sunlight — offer advantages in specific conditions that these clear lenses do not replicate: those operating in environments with highly variable lighting should factor this into their choice.

The overglasses design, with enough room to accommodate a standard prescription frame, solves the practical problem for those who would otherwise have to choose between protection and correct vision. The one-size format simplifies kit management in contexts where custom sizing is not possible or practical.
