Construction in 700 DEN Cordura provides resistance to abrasion and tearing under hard use, without adding unnecessary bulk or weight. The pouch is compatible with commonly issued grenades including the DM51, DM51A, DM41, RGD-5, RGO and PYROSOFT (PYRO-5, P-67), as well as small gas cartridges and GBB magazines — useful versatility when your kit may vary between training exercises and real-world scenarios.

The open top with elastic retention allows the grenade to be drawn and replaced one-handed quickly, with no clips or zips to release. The trade-off to consider is this: fast access comes at the cost of passive retention — under vigorous movement or inverted positions, the contents are less secured than in a pouch with a snap closure.
