Elastic retention is the centrepiece of the design: the side walls of each compartment conform to the width of the magazine — whether aluminium STANAG, PMAG or airsoft magazines such as S-MAG or EPM — with no adjustment required. This allows single-handed extraction and immediate reinsertion even under stress. The trade-off is the one typical of this retention type: access speed is at its maximum, but in the event of a fall or rolling onto one side, magazines are not held by a mechanical retention device.
