Tasmanian Tiger

The SGL Mag Pouch MP7 40R MKII is a single magazine pouch for 40-round MP7 magazines, made from 700-denier Cordura with dimensions of 21x5x3 cm and a weight of 50 g. It is designed for professional operators and shooters who carry the MP7 as a primary or secondary weapon and need rapid access to a spare magazine without compromising the compactness of their kit.

The closure is user-selectable: the Velcro flap retains the magazine securely even during intense physical activity, while the included bungee cord allows single-handed extraction without releasing any catch. The open top with bungee cord offers the fastest draw, but provides less retention than Velcro: those working in environments where the magazine must not fall out unintentionally will prefer the flap, while those prioritising extraction speed will opt for the bungee. Having both options in the same pouch allows the configuration to be adapted to the situation at hand.

The attachment system is MOLLE with 1 column and 3 rows, compatible with any standard MOLLE/PALS platform. The minimal footprint allows the pouch to be mounted even in tight spaces on a chest rig or plate carrier without restricting access to other elements of the system.

Key Features

  • 700-denier Cordura provides abrasion resistance without adding weight: the pouch weighs 50 g.
  • The dual closure option — Velcro flap or included bungee cord — allows you to balance security and extraction speed according to your operational needs.
  • The single-column MOLLE attachment (1x3 slots) keeps the footprint minimal and integrates with any MOLLE/PALS platform.
  • Dimensions of 21x5x3 cm are optimised for 40-round MP7 magazines, eliminating lateral play that would slow re-acquisition of grip.
