PTT and radio accessories
PTT buttons, cables, adapters and accessories for connecting headsets and radios.
The connector is everything
A PTT works only with the device it is wired for. Kenwood two-pin, Motorola in its variants, Midland, Icom and proprietary formats are not compatible with each other, and there are no reliable universal adapters for every situation.
Before ordering, check the exact model of your radio and the connector type on your headset. These are the two ends of the cable, and both must match.
Mounting position
Where you mount the PTT determines whether the system is usable under stress. On the shoulder strap of a plate carrier it remains reachable with the support hand without taking the strong hand off the weapon; on the belt it requires lowering the arm. Models with MOLLE loops or clips can be repositioned until the right spot is found, and it is worth testing the placement before locking it in.
