The LEMOD is an ultralight plate carrier from Primal Gear designed to accept ballistic plates in SAPI format size M, front and rear. The laser cut construction reduces overall weight to a minimum without sacrificing carrying surface – the right choice for those who wear the carrier for extended periods and count every gram of additional kit.

Both the front and rear panels are made entirely from laser cut material, which lightens the structure and improves ventilation compared to traditional full cordura. A modular MOLLE/PALS system runs across the entire outer surface, allowing pouches, magazine pouches and accessories to be arranged in the most suitable configuration for the task, swapped or repositioned without tools. The entire structure is internally reinforced with a layer of plastic material that maintains the shape of the plate pockets even when the carrier is empty, preventing plates from sliding or tilting during movement. On the inner face of the front panel there is a handle that allows single-handed quick release.

The shoulder straps are adjustable over a wide range and feature padded shoulder pads: this reduces localised pressure when the carrier is loaded with plates and pouches, though it is worth noting that the adjustment system is designed for a static fit rather than an emergency doff in a fraction of a second. The front Velcro surface allows patches and insignia to be attached. The rear panel features a zip for attaching a back panel or a small modular pack, expanding carrying capacity without modifying the carrier.
