The DACC Lightweight is a low-profile plate carrier designed for those who need to carry ballistic plates without sacrificing mobility. The front and rear panels accept standard-format plates; full MOLLE coverage across the entire outer surface allows pouches and accessories to be added without compromising the system's silhouette.

The manufacturer chose 1000D nylon for the main body: a weight that balances abrasion resistance with a light overall carry — particularly relevant in situations where a heavier carrier would become a liability. The base configuration includes the rigid side panels, but the DACC can be stripped down by removing both sides and closing the flanks with Fastex buckles: in this lightened version ventilation improves noticeably and weight drops, at the cost of reduced MOLLE real estate on the sides and less lateral protection. Operators working in high-temperature environments or prioritising speed of movement can adopt this configuration with no permanent modifications to the carrier.

The quick-release system allows the carrier to be removed in a matter of seconds — a critical feature in the event of injury or an accidental fall into deep water. At the top of the back panel there is a drag handle to allow the rapid extraction of a downed operator. The same area features loop panels for identification or unit patches, readable during casualty recovery or briefings.
