Thumb Stop FabDefense VTS-M M-LOK — Tan

The VTS-M is a rubberised polymer thumb stop compatible with M-LOK attachment systems, designed for shooters who rest the thumb against the barrel to maintain lateral control of the weapon. At 45 mm long, 25 mm wide and 28 mm tall, it takes up minimal space on the forend without interfering with the support hand grip.

The rubberised polymer absorbs vibrations and provides grip even with gloves or in wet conditions, unlike smooth surfaces or aluminium profiles that can slip under load. The modest weight of 20 g does not affect weapon balance — an important consideration for platforms already set up with accessories on the rail.

One trade-off worth noting: compared to a rigid metal thumb stop, the rubberised polymer version offers greater tactile grip and reduces recoil transmission to the hand, but it is less suited to shooters who use the thumb as a fixed reference point for absolute repeatability in the grip. For dynamic use and rapid control, the rubber version performs better; for static precision work, the comparison with rigid materials should be carefully considered.
