The BLS Tracer 0.25 g BBs are standard plastic airsoft BBs, available in a resealable bag containing 4,000 BBs weighing one kilogram. The light green body colour is designed to interact with optical tracer units, producing a bright green glow visible in low-light conditions. Their weight places them in the mid-range category, suited to AEG and GBB replicas tuned to average FPS outputs.
The diameter of 5.95 mm ± 0.01 mm is what truly matters in a BB: a tight tolerance reduces micro-variations in contact with the hop-up bucking and contributes to a more consistent hop rate, which translates into a repeatable point of impact burst after burst. At 0.25 g, the BB performs well at the mid-range distances typical of CQB and mixed environments, giving up some ground to heavier weights in wind resistance and flat trajectory at longer distances — a well-known and deliberate trade-off.
The material is standard, non-biodegradable plastic. This means the bag is not approved for fields that require biodegradable BBs: check the field rules before purchasing. On the other hand, standard plastic maintains its geometry and hardness more consistently than some biodegradable compounds when exposed to high humidity.
Key features
- Tolerance of ±0.01 mm on a diameter of 5.95 mm: consistent contact with the bucking and more uniform hop rate.
- Weight of 0.25 g: effective balance at mid-range distances, compatible with most AEG and GBB replicas in standard configuration.
- Tracer: the light green body pigment interacts with the tracer unit to produce a bright green glow in the dark.
- Pack of 4,000 BBs in a resealable bag: the reclosable seal protects the BBs from moisture between sessions.
- Non-biodegradable material: more stable geometry over time compared to bio BBs, but check field regulations before purchasing.
