The Wiley X Citadel ballistic glasses with Captivate lenses in Tungsten are designed for sport and professional shooting: the toric lens shape follows the natural curve of the eye, covers the peripheral field of view and reduces stray light at the edges without narrowing the operational field of vision.

The Selenite polycarbonate lenses are treated with the T-Shell scratch-resistant coating and meet the ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432A and ISO 12312-1 standards: they withstand impact without shattering into fragments, the fundamental requirement for use on the firing line. Captivate technology works through selective light filtering: it increases contrast, enhances colour differentiation and cuts harmful frequencies, improving depth perception and detail recognition in variable light conditions — a real advantage both when shooting at dark targets and when identifying game at distance. The Tungsten tint is designed for bright or mixed lighting conditions.

The Triloid nylon frame balances low weight with impact resistance: the rubberised temples and shaped nose bridge keep the glasses in place during dynamic movement without the need for constant adjustments. The removable side shields add a barrier against dust, wind and debris when conditions demand it: removed, the glasses take on a compact profile compatible with most ear defenders and helmets in common use. The trade-off is clear: with the shields fitted, perimeter protection is complete, but the lateral bulk may interfere with some wide-cup tactical hearing protectors; without shields, equipment compatibility is maximised at the expense of lateral coverage.
