It not only eliminates sun glare that could give away your position, but also protects the objective lens from damage, such as being struck by a well-aimed BB. This Killflash has no external thread and is fitted by inserting it in front of the objective lens of the scope, then securing it with the included elastic band around the lower mounting base.
