WE SIG F229 (P229) GBB Airsoft Pistol — Black

The WE F229 is a gas blowback airsoft gun based on the SIG Sauer P229, a compact pistol originally chambered in service calibres and widely used by law enforcement and military operators. With an overall length of 186 mm and a weight of 755 g, it faithfully replicates the dimensions of the original and is aimed at airsoft shooters looking for a compact, realistic platform for CQB and training.

The gas blowback (GBB) system produces genuine slide travel with every shot, delivering a firing feel close to that of a real firearm and demanding the same recoil management practised in live-fire shooting. The muzzle velocity of 100 m/s with 0.20 g BBs on Top gas falls within the standard range for outdoor use and meets common field limits. The 80 mm inner barrel is consistent with the compact profile of the airsoft gun.

The frame, slide and magazine are all metal, as is the hop-up chamber: the all-metal construction affects the final weight but reproduces the same mass distribution as the original — a relevant factor when the airsoft gun is used for pistol-handling training. The mid-cap magazine holding 24 BBs limits capacity compared to hi-cap options, but eliminates the noise of loose BBs inside and provides more consistent feeding — a choice that prioritises realism over round count.

• Genuine blowback with every shot: the metal slide cycles open and returns, simulating the firing cycle and training recoil management.
• All-metal construction (frame, slide, hop-up and magazine) for weight distribution faithful to the original.
• Compact length of 186 mm: manoeuvrable in CQB and comfortable to carry in a holster.
• Mid-cap magazine holding 24 BBs: silent and consistent feeding, with no rattling during movement.
