PTS EPM-1 Mid-Cap Magazine M4/AR15 250 BBs — Tan

The PTS EPM-1 is a mid-cap magazine for AEG airsoft guns on the M4/AR15 platform, with a capacity of 250 BBs. The Tan colour pairs well with the most common tan or coyote polymer receiver variants.

Feeding reliability is one of the critical points of any high-capacity mid-cap magazine: the EPM-1's spring and follower are dimensioned to handle sustained rates of fire and heavy BBs up to 0.49 g, without jams or slowdowns in feed. The transparent side window with an orange indicator lets you check remaining BBs at a glance; when the magazine is empty, the orange follower rises visibly into the window – an immediate signal without having to lower the gun. The base features an angled profile that improves stability when shooting from a rest and makes extraction from the magazine pouch easier, even with gloves on.

As with all mid-cap magazines, the so-called "midcap syndrome" can reduce muzzle velocity on the first few BBs when the magazine is fully loaded: excessive pressure on the nozzle temporarily drops FPS. The original PTS technical description states that the issue is resolved by slightly shortening the tappet plate spring and checking that the nozzle-cylinder head assembly has no excessive play towards the hop-up chamber. This is not a fault with the magazine, but an interaction with the airsoft gun that only needs to be addressed once.
