Delta Armory MK18 ALPHA Airsoft Gun — Black/Tan

The MK18 ALPHA is an AEG airsoft gun in a short M4 format made by Delta Armory, designed for those looking for an AR15 platform with a fully metal receiver without needing to work on the internals straight away. With a length ranging from 690 mm to 770 mm thanks to the adjustable stock and a weight of 2600 g, it sits firmly in the field-ready segment.

The receiver is precision-machined metal and includes a CNC aluminium handguard with RIS/Picatinny rails on all four sides, accepting grips, bipods, tactical lights and AN/PEQ boxes without adaptors. The outer barrel is threaded at 14 mm counter-clockwise, compatible with the vast majority of suppressors and flash hiders on the market. The gearbox is a V2 QSC version with 14 piston teeth and 7 mm metal ball bearings: the drivetrain is therefore quieter and handles sustained use better than a gearbox with brass bushings. The SF polymer stock accommodates crane-type batteries up to 3 cells, nunchuk or stick buffer configurations, accessed via the rear plate without removing any external parts.

A muzzle velocity of 115 m/s with 0.25 g BBs places the gun within the limits common on many CQB fields when using 0.28 g BBs — however, always check the rules of the specific site before use. The considerable weight and predominantly metal construction deliver durability and a realistic feel, at the expense of the lightness that only polymer could provide: a deliberate design choice, not a shortcoming.
