The Strike Systems Advanced 553 is an open red dot sight with dual-colour reticle, designed for airsoft replicas mounted on a 21 mm Picatinny or Weaver rail. The body combines metal and rigid polymer, weighs 300 grams, and keeps a compact footprint without compromising the durability needed for regular field use.

The cross reticle switches between red and green, letting you match the dot colour to ambient lighting conditions: green reads more clearly against bright backgrounds and in full daylight, while red holds contrast in low-light environments. Brightness is adjustable so the dot neither washes out the target at night nor disappears in direct sunlight. Both windage and elevation are adjustable, allowing you to zero the sight to your replica.

The integrated quick-release mount lets you attach and remove the sight without tools — useful when swapping between replicas or packing the optic away. Keep in mind that every remount calls for a zero check: a lever mount is convenient, but it introduces a repeatability variable that a screwed ring does not. Power comes from 2 AAA batteries, housed in a lever-latch compartment for quick field replacement — an advantage over models using coin cells, which are harder to find on the go.
